Field Service Technicians Level 1 – Bel Air, MD & Ithaca/Syracuse NY:

Seeking experienced reliable field service technicians with 3 or more years of experience for our  Upper New York and Mid Atlantic offices.  These positions are located in the Ithaca/Syracuse New York and Bel Air Maryland areas.   In this position you will be the on the front line, at our client's sites servicing, repairing, testing & certifying cleanrooms, biosafety cabinets, and laminar flow devices. In addition, you will also be performing environmental sampling and decontamination services. 

Must Haves:

 

  • Clean DMV driving record.
  • Ability to pass drug and background check.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, mathematical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Possess or be capable of obtaining medical clearance for respirator use.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service experience, rock-solid listening, and client diplomacy skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with technology.

Desired:

 

  • CETA Certification
  • Lift certification
  • Project planning experience

 

Education:

Microbiology Manager

This is a unique leadership opportunity in this role you will be directly responsible for managing the daily operations of our microbiology laboratory, ensuring compliance with SOPs, policies, regulatory requirements and accreditations.  In addition, you will be the primary liaison between our clients and the microbiology laboratory.  There is some travel involved in this role.

 Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee daily microbiology operations to ensure compliance with laboratory policies and procedures.
  • Continuous evaluation and/or development of laboratory SOPs, test methods and policies in accordance with industry regulations and accreditations.
  • Budgeting laboratory expenses.
  • Perform and manage laboratory investigations, deviations and CAPAs.
  • Train and develop Microbiology staff on test procedures and methods.
  • Provide remediation support for clients.
  • Perform laboratory testing and analysis of Environmental Monitoring samples, Biological Indicators and media.

 Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology or related science discipline.
  • A minimum of three to five years of experience.
  • Three to five years of demonstrated leadership experience with leading a team with varying personalities and skill levels.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form.
  • Demonstrate strong computer skills in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
  • Demonstrated ability for strong attention to detail and problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated ability to make practical, realistic and timely decisions after considering facts, available resources and potential risks, and utilizing reason when dealing with sensitive topics.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to present ideas and information in a clear, concise, organized, and diplomatic manner.
  • Must be able to travel 15% of the time within an assigned geographic territory.  Travel may vary in frequency and duration.

 Nice to Have:

Microbiology Analyst

Due to our rapid growth, we are seeking a Microbiology Analyst. This is a unique leadership opportunity in this role you will be for performing laboratory analysis of client samples and general laboratory support.

Responsibilities:
• Perform laboratory testing and analysis of environmental monitoring sample
• Perform quality control testing, sterility verification and growth promotion testing of incoming media,  identification kits and reagents.
• Perform BI analysis, population verifications and log reductions.
• Maintain lab stock cultures of evaluation testing and dilutions.
• Maintain adequate inventory of media and materials required for the testing and routine laboratory maintenance.
• Perform daily checks of laboratory equipment and chart recorders.
• Process, edit and review client laboratory reports and sample plans.
• Assist in revising and creating laboratory SOPs.
• Client communication and remediation support.
• Perform routine laboratory housekeeping.

Must Haves:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology or related science discipline.
• Demonstrate strong computer skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and LIMS.
• Demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and at a fast pace while maintaining quality.
• Demonstrate a strong attention to detail

Operations Manager:

Due to our rapid growth, we are seeking an Operations Manager. This is a unique leadership opportunity in this role you will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of B&V Testing and Certco’s facility, vehicle fleet support, inventory and test instrumentation.

 

Responsibilities:

Development and management of an annual budget for facility operations in addition to managing a team of one or more warehouse personnel.

Manage and maintain a 10,000 ft2 office/warehouse facility. Includes identifying and negotiating contracts with third party vendors for routine maintenance (i.e. HVAC, snow plowing, repairs, etc.)

Responsible for layout of the facility for optimization of the process flow. 

Provide technical support to field technicians on mechanical and electrical equipment needs.

Manage maintenance and calibration program for technician test instrumentation and the third party supported decontamination machines. Develop and implement a system for tracking instrumentation usage.

Support Client Services department with the warehouse storage and tracking of inventory.

Manage and support technician fleet vehicles and accessories as required.  Assist finance with selection and purchasing of replacement vehicles.

Participate in management team meetings to help develop a corporate growth strategy and address operational challenges.

 coordinate and manage safety program including facility equipment and procedures.

Must Haves:

  • BS in a technical or operations discipline preferred.
  • Ability to work with a flexible schedule when needed.
  • 7 to 10 years’ experience in facilities/operations management.
  • Must have strong technical (mechanical/electrical) education/experience.
  • Strong leadership skills, self-motivated, versatile and creative problem-solving ability.
  • Proven track record of successfully working in a hands-on environment.
  • Extensive experience with mechanical and electrical components.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills required.
  • Extremely adept at using all MS Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.

Nice to Haves:

  • Lean Experience a plus.
  • Quality management experience is a strong plus. Experience working in or ideally helping an organization achieve ISO 9001 certification a strong plus.
